ABOUT US

Hillside Christian Church is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The Christian Church was founded in the early 1800's as an American frontier movement to restore the practices and unity of the early church. We are the oldest denomination established in the United States, and at present we are the sixth largest denomination in the nation with approximately 4,400 congregations and 1.4 million members.

Hillside Christian Church has long been an important part of Wichita touching the lives of many thousands since its beginning in 1922. Our present facility was constructed in 1979 with the sanctuary being dedicated in 1983. A gymnasium and four classrooms were added in 1996. Our main concern is serving the Lord by serving people, so our facility is carefully designed to be accessible to the handicapped and provide space for programs to minister to a variety of needs for a broad variety of people of all ages.
